BlackBerry Messenger(BBM) full release on iOS and Android postponed following leak

Eager fans waiting to get their hands on BlackBerry
Messenger (BBM) for the Android and iOS operating
systems will have to wait a little bit longer after the roll
out of the app was postponed.

The service was previously only available on the Research in
Motion produced phone and allowed users to send messages
to each other.

It was meant to be released on Android devices on Saturday
and then on the iOS platform a day later.
But this has been delayed because Blackberry says the app is
not ready.

The company said in a statement: ‘Our teams continue to
work around the clock to bring BBM to Android and iPhone,
but only when it’s ready and we know it will live up to your
expectations of BBM.’

Some users have been able to download BBM after an
Android version was leaked and an iOS build was released for
a short period of time before getting pulled.
